Get ready to take on Tabanuco's dance floor after dinner, loosening up first with a piña colada or lime and sugar Caipirinha. As you enjoy your drinks, energize your dance muscles with fresh sea bass ceviche, $6, seasoned with red bell peppers, onions, cilantro and lime, served with plantain chips, or tuna Carpaccio, $9, with thin-sliced green onions and soy sauce on the side.

Practice your twists and turns over a toasted almond mahi-mahi filet, $11, served with salt-and-peppered grilled potatoes, mixed salad and sautéed vegetables. Find inspiration to move your hips to the beat of a Caribbean-style sweet-coconut milk chicken curry, $10, with sides of white rice, mixed salad and sauteed vegetables.

When all is said and done - and your stomach is thanking you for feeding it a few of the restaurant's 87 delicious dishes and not leaving your liver hanging - rest for a bit before heading back to live out the legends of Tabanuco's late-night shenanigans. Maybe if you're lucky, you'll catch the Rastafarian vibes of live reggae Fridays, or on Thursday for ladies' night, where girls get free shots as soon as they show up - that always ends well.

Ambiance

Get grooving right away when you arrive at the beachfront gates; swerve left and walk up a ramp toward the elevated dining area, or continue straight to tackle the dance floor and bar — colored lights and live music will guide you either way.

Service

Tabanuco's friendly local staff match the vibe you want to have: genuine, hospitable and formal during dinner, but laid-back and encouraging to let loose in the later hours.
