Most people gather to eat beside the taco stand at Pension Santa Elena; a local backpacker's hangout. The patio is open and set right beside the restaurant. Large tables, chairs and stools make for a friendly atmosphere that encourages getting to know the people next to you; perfect for lunch on a sunny day.
You'll salivate for about five to ten minutes while waiting for one of the chefs to open the side door and call out your name, but it's all worth it once you see the love they put in the food.
