Day 1 Whitewater Rafting in Arenal
Meet your bilingual guide early morning at your hotel in San Jose. Jump in a shared-ride shuttle for a three-hour journey to Arenal. Raft down the Balsa River on Class II-III rapids through the verdant pastureland and secondary forest; Get ready for your best lunch with traditional Costa Rican homemade food sourced-locally and cooked on an authentic, wood-burning stove! Then, drive through the rolling hills and arrive at your hotel for a welcome dinner and reception where you'll meet and get to know your fellow travelers.

Overnight: Chachagua Rainforest Lodge (or similar)
Day 2: Chachagua Waterfall self-guided Tour & head to San Jose or other destination
Rise and shine! Follow the Chachagua trail to the waterfall and bathe on it. Get breakfast. Your shared-ride shuttle will pick you at 9 a.m. or 2 p.m.
