Horchata - Ground Rice & Cinnamon Drink

A delicious, sweet beverage of soaked rice, condensed milk, cinnamon and clove.

Ingredients

  • 4 1/5 cups water

  • 1/4 lb rice, ground

  • 1 clove

  • 1 stick cinnamon

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 small can sweetened condensed milk

  • 1/4 lb peanuts, ground


Directions

Soak ground rice in water overnight. The next day, pour rice mixture into a blender. Add cinnamon, salt, and a whole clove. Liquefy. Strain the mix through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher. Stir condensed milk and peanuts into the strained liquid. Refrigerate until chilled. Serve very cold.
