Higado en Salsa - Beef Liver in Sauce

A savory dish of beef liver sauteed with onion, bell pepper and garlic.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef liver, cut into 1-inch squares

  • 3/4 cup onion, chopped

  • 3/4 cup red bell pepper, cut into thin stripes

  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed

  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce

  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce


Directions

Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan over high heat. Add onions, red bell pepper, and garlic. Saute for 3 minutes. Add tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and liver. Cover and cook for 5 minutes over medium high. Let stand for three minutes. Serve with rice.
