Japan Gives $9 Million to Costa Rica's Parks

The Costa Rican Ministry of Environment and Energy (MINAET) announced that Japan recently donated a sum of $9 million to be earmarked for the protection of national parks and protected areas in Costa Rica. Currently, more than 25% of the country's lands are dedicated to protected national parks, refuges and reserves.
