Settled on a point south of Playa Negra beside Cahuita's marina, Cabinas Arrecife is close to Cahuita's restaurants and nightlife, but far enough away to avoid the noise and foot traffic; nearby Playa Negra and just a half-mile from Cahuita National Park and the white sands of Playa Blanca.
The patios of Cabinas Arrecife's 14 rooms look out across the grass courtyard to the pool and the sea. Inside the standard rooms, $30 dry season (Sept-Nov.), are decorated with black and white tiled-floors, wood ceilings and a window facing the sea. Each is furnished with a doubled and single bed and two fans. Wi-Fi is available in the rooms.
A simply built wood frame and tin roof covers the restaurant and its small kitchen. The restaurant at Cabinas Arrecife is only open for breakfast serving visitors traditional Costa Rican breakfasts like scrambled eggs and gallo pinto (mixed rice and beans) or continental breakfasts that include fried eggs/omelets and toast.
