The perfect distance from Playa Platanares, the sounds of the waves won't necessarily keep you up at night, but can still permeate moments of your stay to remind you where you are. The three nearby beaches to dip your feet in are Punta Arenitas, Playa Preciosa, and La Cienega. Or you can jump into their pool, where they run their swim-up bar and play music during the summertime.. And that is about as wild as it gets here. Party elsewhere. But come here to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of the scarlet macaws, toucans, toads, frogs, lizards, iguanas, sloths, monkeys and hawks.

Rooms

This 45-room beach resort that opened to the public in 2010 offers simple and clean accommodations that run anywhere from $100-$300 per night (Dec.-Apr.). The three main options are beach bungalows, poolside suites, and garden suites. They all have the similar layout of two bedrooms, one bathroom, and four beds, with a separate living room. All rooms include a hairdryer, a/c, and a mini-fridge, with some even having their own private Jacuzzi!

Restaurant

Breakfast at the Agua Dulce Bar and Restaurant is included in your stay. A choice of pancakes, French toast, quiche, or a two-egg platter made Costa Rican or American style is available. A priced menu gives you the option of an on-premise lunch and dinner as well.
