Torta Chilena - Chilean Pastry
Sweet dough baked in the oven, filled with dulce de leche, and sprinkled with powdered sugar.

Ingredients
For the filling:
3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
3 cubes butter
1 teaspoon sugar
2 eggs
4 tablespoons ice water
Salt to taste
1 1/2 cups dulce de leche
1 cup powder sugar
Directions
Combine flour, butter, salt, and sugar in a bowl. Add eggs; stir. Add ice water, one tablespoon at a time, stirring with a fork until dough forms.
Turn dough out onto a floured board and knead for 1 minute. Roll rounded tablespoons of dough into medium-sized balls. Place the dough balls in the freezer for one hour. Take each ball out of the freezer and roll each of them 1/10 to 1/9-inch thick rectangular shape. Pock layer of dough with a fork.
Preheat oven at 572° F (300° C). Butter baking sheets. Bake until light brown. Stack each layer, spreading dulce de leche in between. Spread remaining dulce de leche on top layer. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
