Costa Rican Embassies throughout the world represent Costa Rica and its best interests. Consulates of Costa Rica issue tourist visas and provide general information about the country.
Area of Coverage: International Consulates and Embassies do not have well-defined areas of coverage - only the U.S. Consulates and some European Consulates have extensive areas of coverage. A Consul or Ambassador will determine his/her area of coverage by calculating the distance between your location and his/her Consulate/Embassy. The closer you are, the most likely the Consulate/Embassy covers your area.
Phone Number Formats: The international country code is listed first between parentheses. This is followed by the city code consisting of either one, two, or three digits. This is followed by the phone number of the Consulate or Embassy which is grouped in three digits separated by one dash and then either four, five, or six digits.
