The environment is very important to Galería Conchal’s vision as an eco-friendly project, with a focus on and in harmony with the natural beauty of the landscape. Trees that will be cleared to build the Galería Conchal will be replanted in the many green areas of the project. Galería Conchal has designed the project with the natural slope of the property and as such, incorporated catch-all basins to retain water runoff that is treated as “grey water” and is redistributed in the landscaping areas as well as the fountains and holding ponds. There are three sewage treatment reservoirs as well as three separate power grid alignments to decrease energy costs. Additionally, Galería Conchal has gone to great lengths to design and deliver an infrastructure of the highest quality. All utilities within the project are underground. Driveways, sidewalks, landscape and lighting are done with “green” in mind. Significant thought has been put into providing services consistent with a premier shopping environment. All waste water will be treated and recycled within the project. A sewer treatment plant has been integrated and the “black water”, “grey water” and rain water collection systems are being designed to start converting waste water into clean water that will be used for irrigation. Our design allows these containment and treatment areas to be utilized below the parking areas in the front of the project, making a clean and environmentally better condition for its customers and retailers. Galería Conchal has also utilized low level solar lighting for parking and security areas, with non-obtrusive perimeter lighting designed to not affect the wildlife in the area.
