Location: Juan Castro Blanco National Park, Central Volcanic Mountain Range - northwest of Poas near Bajo del Toro

Altitude: 7437 feet


Porvenir is another of Juan Castro Blanco’s volcanic structures (in addition to the La Platanar Volcano).  Cloud forest dominates the upper elevations of this volcano. A web of hiking trails provides access to this park’s remote forests.
