Marine Historical Museum of Puntarenas

Located on central avenue, in the House of the Culture
Puntarenas, Costa Rica

Features the economic and social importance of man's relationship with the sea - includes exhibits of fishing gear. 

Hours: Monday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 12 Noon and 1 to 5 p.m.

 

Communitarian Boruca Indigenous Museum

Located in the indigenous territory of the Boruca Indians
Buenos Aires de Puntarenas, Costa Rica

This museum features the traditional dyes and techniques used in crafts by the Borruca Indians. It is also a meeting place for local artisans who employ Borrucan tradition in their crafts.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 

Communitarian Terraba Indigenous Museum

Located in the Indigenous Reserve of Teribe, in Terraba
Buenos Aires de Puntarenas, Costa Rica

The museum features exhibits on the indigenous community of Térraba, including a traditional kitchen and bed, bows and arrows and many other tools.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
