Location: 4 miles southeast of Cartago
Hours: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Entrance Fee: $8
This world renowned garden, known for its collection of epiphytes, hosts more than 800 species of native and exotic orchids. The best time to visit is March and April when most of the orchids are blooming.

Getting There:
Take the bus from San Jose to Cartago, transfer at Las Ruinas and take the Paraiso bus. Get off when you see the Casa Vieja restaurant about 7 minutes out of town.
You will see a road to your right marked with a Gardens Walk sign. Go 0.6 mi., turn right at the T and you will be there.
