The Pacific's 630+ miles of coastline is home to white and black sand beaches bordered by forests filled with monkeys, sloths, iguanas, toucans and hummingbirds. Visitors can hike in the forest and hear the ocean nearby, bask in the sun, or seek refuge under the shade of beach almond trees. The waters are warm year-round- a paradise for swimmers, surfers and boogie boarders.
Travelers will encounter cozy restaurants and bars with thatched roofs along the beach where a fresh beverage or meal can be enjoyed at any time of day. Vendors selling cold coconut juice, natural fruit drinks and ice cream regularly walk by with their refrigerated carts.
