Coffee Fields, Poás Volcano, Wildlife and Waterfalls: The “4 in 1 Best of Costa Rica” Tour

One of the great things about traveling in Costa Rica is its compact size, enabling visitors to explore varied terrains in relatively short amounts of time. Costa Rica is known for its diverse ecosystems, including cloud and rainforests, rich farmlands, cool mountains and hot lowlands. Today, I had the opportunity to experience all of these environments on my tour with Expediciones Tropicales. Day 5: Monkeys Will Do Anything for Muffins

I awake to the sound of footsteps on the roof and as I emerge from my groggy state, I realize, of course, that the sound is from monkeys. I assume they will pass quickly and try to go back to sleep, but they don’t go away, so I am curious and get out of bed.
I peek outside to find my neighbor holding the basket of muffins close to her while shooing the monkeys away. Apparently there was a muffin raid this morning.
