I think, even more so than colorful birds and adorable monkeys, they're my favorite animal to find in the forest. They fascinate me. And speaking of ants, have you ever seen the bullet (bala) ant? They are HUGE! And also very poisonous -- they say that their bite feels like getting shot (hence the name), and that their toxin can induce vomiting and cause a grown adult to run a very high fever for days. When I was in the Southern Caribbean a few months ago, we saw at least 10 of them... talk about tiptoeing through the jungle! I love frogs so much!
