Experienced travelers know that it pays to have good insurance when traveling abroad. Check to see if your credit cards or bank cards provide you with the insurance you need. Find out if your home owner's insurance covers documents, money, or valuables lost or stolen while traveling abroad. When in doubt, sign up for some extra coverage with a reputable travel insurance company. Costa Rican law requires that travelers carry a certain minimum amount of insurance, including medical coverage. If you plan to hike the back country or play at any sports you will probably need to purchase some extra coverage. |
