National Symphony Orchestra Concerts

-San José, Official season concerts: 8 pm Fridays,
10:30 am Sundays

Founded in 1940 and currently led by American Maestro Irwin Hoffman, the national symphony orchestra highlights famous symphonic works as well as minor and newly commissioned pieces. Renowned visiting musicians perform frequently with the orchestra and opera company. The concert season runs from April through November with approximately 24-36 concerts held in the Teatro Naciónal. The orchestra also performs smaller concerts for students and Christmas concerts.
