Police records must be issued by a competent authority in the
countries where you and your dependants over 16 years have lived for
the last 5 years prior to submitting your PRA.
If you moved
within your country from State/Province to State/Province, please
submit a police record issued by the State/Province where you and your
dependants over 16 years have lived for the last six months.
Applicants
who are permanent residents of a country other than their native
country are required to submit two police records: one from their
native country and one from the country where they live as legal
permanent residents.
However, applicants who have lived in a
foreign country as lawful permanent residents for five consecutive
years or more prior to submitting their application and have not gone
back to their home country for a period no longer than 30 days will be
required to submit only the police record from the country where they
are lawful permanent residents.
Police Record is valid for three
months after its issuance date; if it expires before you file your
application, your application will not be accepted and you will be
required to get a new police record.
