Museo Nacional (National Museum)

The buildings, located on Calle 15 and Calle 17 between Avenida Central Avenida 2, were once the headquarters of the Costa Rican Military, who turned them over to the people of Costa Rica in 1948. The museum, opened in 1887, houses a number of archeological artifacts, costumes, and sample of colonial art.

The Museum is open to the public Tue.-Sat. from 8:30am - 4:30pm, and Sundays from 9am - 4:30pm. For further information, call 257-221-4429
