The museum is located in a beautiful old building in the heart of Limon.  It hosts a collection of pieces associated with the arrival of Christopher Columbus to Cariari de Limon. The museum displays the ethnic historic richness of the province of Limon, featuring exhibits on ethnic groups like the afro-limonense, the native, Chinese and the mestizos.
