Juan Santamaria Historico-Cultural Museum
100 meters north of Central Park, on Avenida 3 and Calles 1 and 2

Founded 1974, the museum displays weapons used during battles against the "Filibusters", renegade American adventurers who tried to conquer Costa Rica in the 19th century.
It is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the entrance is free.
Historical Museum of San Ramon

The history and the tradition of San Ramon are represented. It is divided in sections; the indigenous ancestors and their customs, the colonization and the development of the city in the nineteenth century.
Open Monday and Wednesdays 8 a.m. to 12 noon and from 1 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Entrance is free.
