Water Activities:
Dolphin Tours
Dolphins can often be spotted (and the occasional whale) on tours that include information on local marine life and ecology.
Snorkeling
Snorkelers will enjoy the colorful fish and coral reefs of nearby Isla Chora, accessed by kayak or boat. Tour operators offer half and full day excursions to the island, including equipment and snacks.
Surfing
Warm waters and gentle waves make Playa Samara an ideal spot for learning to surf. There is at least one surf school in town that provides boards and instruction.
