Services:
Quepos and Manuel Antonio have several pharmacies, bookstores, supermarkets, gas stations and banks and a post office. Travelers can stock up on forgotten or misplaced items in one of the many boutiques, surf shops or souvenir stands in town.
Phones
Cell phones work in Quepos, but there is intermittent service as you get closer to Manuel Antonio. There is usually no service along the beach or inside the national park. Only at high points in Manuel Antonio do cell phones receive reception.
Internet
There is wireless internet access in Quepos at the Aromas Cafe (one block from the soccer field) and several other internet cafes in town. Manuel Antonio also has several internet cafes. Most cost $2 per hour and have high-speed ADSL. More and more hotels are offering their guests in-room wireless or have internet service in reception.
Faxes
The post office and many hotels can send and receive local and international faxes.
Laundry Service
Available in central Quepos near the central market with either same day service or do-it-yourself machines. Two locations: Lavandería Yara and Aquamatic Laundry.

Banks
Quepos: Banco de Costa Rica, Banco Nacional, BAC San Jose, Banco Popular, Banca Promerica and Coopealianza. There are several ATMs for cash withdrawals.
Manuel Antonio: There is one ATM along the left side of the road on the way to Manuel Antonio that is well-signed . Manuel Antonio village does not have any ATMs, but many hotels and shops will change money.
Gas Stations
Central Quepos has two full-service gas stations, and there are several more on the main road out of town, heading to San Jose.
Medical Facilities
The closest major hospital is in Puntarenas. There is a public clinic in Quepos, and 24-hour emergency service is provided by the Red Cross (Cruz Roja). There are also several private practices offering hotel and home visits, including services such as minor surgeries and urgent care. English speaking doctors are on-hand.
