Internet
Wireless internet service is available for purchase.  The Internet cafe selling wireless minutes in Cahuita is located on the main street beside Cocos Bar and above the Coral Reef restaurant.  The WiFi connection covers the area from the bridge entering the Cahuita National Park until about 100 meters past the cafe on the main street.  They offer multiple packages the cheapest per hour is the 10-hour package at 10,000 colones and the most convenient at 15 minutes for 1000 colones.

A few other Internet cafes are scattered along the road to Tuba Creek, including a small café with a high-speed connection at Brigitte’s Centro Turistico hotel and restaurant.  She also has very healthy horses available for horseback riding tours.

Facilities:

Banks
Bring plenty of cash: there are no banks in Cahuita (closest are in Limon or Puerto Viejo). Most mid-range and upscale hotels will accept credit cards and US dollars as well as colones.

Medical Facilities
The closest hospital providing basic medical care is in Hone Creek (Tel. 506-2-750-0220) located about 30 minutes from Cahuita. The Red Cross (Cruz Roja) offers emergency ambulance services.  The closest major hospital is in Limon. For all major emergencies, dial 911.
