Restaurants and Nightlife in Cahuita

A variety of reasonably-priced restaurants offer food ranging from fresh seafood cooked Caribbean style (with coconut milk) to Thai fusion cuisine.  There are a small number of bars in town and several others scattered along the dirt road along Playa Negra.  Many local restaurants use organic, locally grown produce.

Roberto’s Tours Restaurant
Local style seafood dishes along with pasta, meat and chicken dishes—a very extensive menu including freshly caught lobster.  They use organic produce from Roberto’s farm whenever possible.

Ms. Ediths
A local legend for traditional Caribbean specialties like jerk chicken and rice and peas cooked in coconut milk. The service is slow, but the food and atmosphere are well worth the wait.

Cha Cha Cha's
Boasting a magical atmosphere with Christmas lights and great service, this unique establishment serves fresh seafood and Thai and Indian fusion cuisine and offers tasty nightly specials. 

Sobre Las Olas
A true Italian experience, this restaurant is nestled along the beach as you walk towards Playa Negra. Enjoy a candlelit dinner overlooking the surf. Specialties include fresh lobster, pasta and wonderful antipasti.
