Culture Square, located on Avenida Central between Calle 3 and Calle 5, is home to the National Theater, The Gold Museum, a five-star hotel, a couple flocks of friendly doves, musicians, clowns, marimba bands, street preachers and peddlers who sell their handicrafts to locals and tourists.
The square also hosts a number of street fairs throughout the year.
Plaza de la Democracia (Democracy Square)
The square, located on the western side of the National Museum, was built in 1989 to welcome the Presidents of the Americas. Street peddlers often set up shop in the square to sell their handicrafts.

Plaza González Víquez (Gonzales Viquez Square)
Located between Avenida 18 and Calle 11, this park houses the Cleto Gonzalez Viquez monument, a carousel, which is only open weekends, and a large sports complex, which is open seven days a week.
