Public Bus:

Bus service runs between Quepos and Manuel Antonio daily from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. (9:30 p.m. on Sat. and Sun.) and costs about 25 cents each way.

Buses depart Quepos for Manuel Antonio on the hour and half hour. There are also buses running at 5:45 and 6:45 a.m.

From Manuel Antonio to Quepos, buses run from 7 a.m. until 7:25 p.m. They depart on the hour and 25 minutes after the hour.  Buses also leave at 6 a.m. and at 10:25 a.m. from Manuel Antonio daily.  On the weekends, there is a 10 p.m. bus bound for Quepos.


Bikes and Scooters:

Scooters can be rented in Quepos. Several hotels and roadside stands have bike rentals in the Manuel Antonio area. Both are economical and fun options for getting around town. Note that the road between Quepos and Manuel AntonioPublic Bus is quite hilly and steep - a challenging ride for bicyclists.

 

Car Rental:

There are several car rental offices in Quepos including Adobe, Alamo, Economy, Elegante, Payless,Thrifty, Hertz and National. Green season (May through mid-December) rates are often competitive, and advance reservations are recommended for weekend travel.


Taxi:

For visitors without a rental car, there are plenty of taxis on hand. A taxi ride from Quepos to Manuel Antonio National Park typically costs around $5 to $6. All official taxis are red and come equipped with a meter. Pirate taxis are often cheaper but don’t carry passenger insurance.
