Welcome!

Thank you for reading the blog!

I am reluctant to write about my personal life, but with a blog it is almost impossible not to share with you all my feelings and experiences I go through with my information team to get the information you read about Costa Rica.

I was raised in Costa Rica about 34 years ago. My birthday is on August 21! My mom was a single mom who worked very hard to give me everything I needed in San Jose. I went to public schools in San Jose. I learned how to speak English when I was a kid and at a private ESL (English as a Second Language) school. I hung out with a lot of English speaking people who lived in Costa Rica.

Back in 1992 I registered the domain name costarica.com with an unclear vision of what to do with it. As more people started using the Internet, costarica.com became the first site that comes to mind when someone thinks about planning a trip, an investment, retirement, and real estate in Costa Rica.

I remember getting e-mails stating constructive criticism and suggestions on what to do with costarica.com. I collected all the information people like you send me on a daily basis and made of costarica.com what you see today. Please keep on sending feedback! I love it. It is a constant reminder that encourages our team every day.

I along with our team will be bringing you behind the scenes letting you know all what happens before you read the information on the site.

I look forward to sharing with you everything that makes possible costarica.com.

Sincerely,

The Webmaster & Information Team

Mike,

Good for you for being so forward thinking back in '92- incredible! I was wondering how you got that name myself, when I found your site, it's perfect.

I really like your blog and am inspired to travel places your team has gone to, thank you.
